Capt. Andrew R. Jones, the commanding officer with Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd Reconnaissance Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, recently earned his Navy and Marine Corps Parachutist Insignia, commonly referred to as gold jump wings, March 12 - 16 when he joined Marines with Company C, 2nd Recon Bn., conducting jump operations. Jones began his career 17 years ago and wanted to make sure he took the last battalion jump opportunity to get his gold jump wings before he executes permanent change of station orders this summer to Company B, 4th Anti-Terrorism Battalion, 4th Marine Division in Amarillo, Texas.
