CAMP TAQADDUM, Iraq (March 11, 2005) - Corporal Stephen A. Reyna, a Marine with 6th Engineer Support Company, receives a Purple Heart from Brig. Gen. Andrew B. Davis, 4th Force Service Support Group Commanding General, during a ceremony held here March 9. Reyna, a 25-year-old Grand Rapids, Mich., native's vehicle was hit by a vehicle born improvised explosive device when returning from Operation Phantom Fury November 8. The vehicle was severely damaged by the IED blast and immediately burst into flames. Reyna received minor wounds. Reyna is attached to the West Coast-based 1st FSSG in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and prepares to return home after serving more than six months in Iraq. (Photo by Sgt. Kristin S. Jochums)
