Lt. Col. Gregory T. Puntney, outgoing commanding officer of Marine Wing Communications Squadron 28, 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, takes the unit colors from squadron sergeant major, Sgt. Maj. Thomas W. Foster, during a change of command ceremony aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, N.C., April 19, 2012. "I came alongside them 18 months ago and they were focused on preparing for combat," said Puntney. "We kept that objective, kept that priority. We ultimately supported more than 80 units and 10,000 Marines and enabled command and control (in Afghanistan.)"
