Marines from Marine Corps Forces Europe read a commemorative display at Pointe du Hoc, a significant battle sight during Operation Overlord, the Allied invasion of Nazi occupied Europe in June, 1944. Members from every staff section of MFE recently traveled Normandy to see and study many historic sights throughout the region as part of a six month study of Operation Overlord.
