060310-M-3677-001 MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. -- Col. Robert J. Coates passes on the reconnaissance paddle to Lt. Gen. John F. Goodman at the deactivation ceremony of Marine Corps Special Operations Capable Detachment One. The three-year-old experimental unit was similair to the Marine Raiders of World War II, some of whom were present at the deactivation ceremony March 10.
