Staff Sgt. Tyrone L. Thompson, tank commander, Delta Company, 1st Tank Battalion, stands stunned next to a cardboard silhouette that was covered behind a cinderblock wall and a one-inch thick, plywood board Sept. 19. The silhouette was turned into Swiss cheese after getting hit with fragments from an M1028 120 mm Canister Round that was shot from 300 meters away toward a different target.
