Christie Otten and Pat Ayscue, the mother and grandmother of Pfc. Enrique C. Sanchez, receive the Bronze Star Medal from Lt. Col. Matthew St. Clair, battalion commander for 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, during an award ceremony aboard Camp Lejeune. Sanchez was awarded the medal for heroic achievement while serving as a turret gunner with 3rd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 1 Brigade Combat Team, I Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).
