Cpl. Alan J. Bennett (left) and Sgt. Christopher D. McClain with 3rd Platoon, Battery C, 1st Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment (1/12), Task Force Military Police (TFMP) conduct a joint patrol with Iraqi Highway Police on 18 September 2007. The joint patrol is being conducted to build community relations and gain intelligence on local insurgent activity around the Traffic Control Point on ASR Golden. 1/12, TFMP is deployed with Multi National Forces-West in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in the Al Anbar province of Iraq to develop Iraqi Security Forces, facilitate the development of official rule of law through democratic reforms, and continue the development of a market based economy centered on Iraqi reconstruction.
