Marines with Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force Africa, under supervision of an instructor, use the buddy system to fire a foreign machine gun during a training session on Tier 1 Group Training Facility in Crawfordsville, Ark., Oct. 23, 2012. The buddy system is used to help the shooter accurately engage the target quickly. The Marines and Sailors of Special-Purpose MAGTF Africa learned ho to operate and maintain various foreign weapons in preparation for their upcoming deployment.
