A plaque with the demilitarized guidance system of a Hellfire missile hangs on the wall in the workshop of retired Staff Sgt. Brad M. Lang, who was a technician with 2nd Explosive Ordnance Disposal Company, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, in Jacksonville, N.C., Oct. 26, 2012. Lang’s fellow EOD technicians gave him the guidance system, which was used to engage the enemy on his last mission in Afghanistan, where Lang lost both of his legs to an improvised explosive device.
