USS MESA VERDE - SSgt. Kevin Richardson, a well deck combat cargo assistant aboard the USS Mesa Verde (LPD-19), explains some of the ship's features to Brig. Gen. Blake Crowe, the deputy commander for Marine Corps Forces Command. Crowe toured the command and control spaces aboard the USS Mesa Verde and USS Bataan in order to see firsthand some of the improvements to the ships as a result of the Naval Amphibious Baseline initiative.
