Mamani, supply clerk, both with the Command Element, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, eat chicken wings during the Super Bowl party held in the hangar bay of the USS Peleliu, Feb. 4. The ship hosted a Super Bowl party for its Marines and sailors as a way to help them decompress and enjoy some of the comforts of home while being forward deployed. The 15th MEU is deployed as part of the Peleliu Amphibious Ready Group as a U.S. Central Command theater reserve force, providing support for maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility. Hibbard, 25, is from Mexia, Texas, and Mamani, 21, is from Burke, Va.
