Maj. Stephen M. Pirrotta explains the capabilities of the MV-22 Osprey during the orientation event, aboard Marine Corps Air Station Futenma, Japan, March 20. The orientation event was to learn about the safety, capabilities and operation of the MV-22B Osprey aircraft. Basing the Osprey in Okinawa significantly strengthens the United States' ability to provide for the defense of Japan, perform humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations, enhancing the U.S.-Japan Security Alliance.
