A mine resistant ambush protected all-terrain vehicle, or M-ATV, travels on a dirt road near Patrol Base Mehrai, Afghanistan in July 2011. Marine Corps Systems Command is considering a technology initiative that would allow Marines to use voice commands to operate C2 software applications and equipment virtually “hands free” when traveling in tactical military vehicles over rugged terrain.
