U.S. Marine infantryman Lance Cpl. Joshua Ralston, gives the signal for Philippine Marine trainees to fire their M16 rifles April 7 at a firing range in Crow Valley, Philippines, as part of Balikatan 2013, an annual bilateral exercise currently in its 29th iteration. BK13 is designed to enhance interoperability between both forces and strengthen military-to-military relations. Ralston is with Kilo Company, 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, and native of Pennsylvania.
