CAMP HANSEN, OKINAWA, Japan- Staff Sgt. Joseph K. Freeman, front, works with Steve Sapien to create an improvised explosive device threat for Marines training April 5 in the combat convoy simulator on Camp Hansen. After potential threats were created in the simulator, Marines conducted convoy operations and were critiqued on their reactions to the scenario they executed. Freeman is a platoon sergeant with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
