Marines wade through water, equipped with safety flotation vests, to install an oceanic intake system water table strainer at Kin Blue beach near Camp Hansen April 30. “The strainers, an ocean intake system, are the first level of filtration,” said Chief Warrant Officer Victor E. Velasquez, utilities officer. The Marines and Velasquez are with Marine Wing Support Squadron 172, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
