Chief Warrant Officer 5 Brice Thomas, left, and his son, Lance Cpl. Brice Thomas, II, pose for a photo at Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, April 27. Thomas is a strategic mobility officer with Regional Command (Southwest) and recently arrived in Afghanistan for a four-month deployment. Brice is an air logistics element noncommissioned officer in charge with II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward) currently stationed at Camp Dwyer. The two reunited when the elder deployed to Afghanistan after his predecessor went home on emergency leave and the command decided a replacement was needed.
