Sgt. Maj. Eric J. Stockton, former Marine Barracks Washington, D.C. sergeant major, stands at the position of attention while the order for his award is read during a relief and appointment ceremony at the Barracks June 27. During the ceremony, Stockton relinquished his post to Sgt. Maj. Angela M. Maness and retired after more than 30 years of service.
