U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman 1st Class Brent Pope, Special-Purpose Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Africa corpsman from Big Piney, Wyo., studies for his fleet Marine force qualification in between convoy exercises with the Uganda People’s Defense Force at the Peace Support Operations Training Center-Singo in Kakola, Uganda, June 26, 2013. Pope is currently deployed with Special-Purpose MAGTF Africa and recently completed a logistics focused engagement with Uganda People’s Defense Force (UPDF) soldiers who will deploy to Somalia later this year.
