Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton litter bearers transport a simulated mass casualty patient to the hospital’s Emergency Room during an active shooter exercise July 18. The scenario was based on an active shooter incident at the hospital’s Mental Health Clinic (simulated in building H-103) and how responders dealt with the threat, mass casualty patient transportation and accountability, Emergency Room triage and treatment and the Hospital Command Center’s coordination efforts and oversight.
