Defense Satellite Communication System satellites (like the one pictured) provide critical communication links used by the Department of Defense members and U.S. allies. Airmen with the 3rd Space Operations Squadron intentionally spun a DSCS test satellite off its operational axis, then initiated a new procedure for correcting the spacecraft's attitude.
