Accuracy is the name of the game in the airdrop arena. An Air Force Reserve Command C-130 cargo aircrew belonging to the Maxwell AFB, Ala.-based 908th Airlift Wing demonstrates the benefits of proficiency training as it drops its load within a few feet of its intended target on a drop zone about 25 miles northwest of the base Feb. 3. Aircrew and aerial port personnel routinely practice airdrops and recovery of training equipment and supplies to maintain proficiency.
