GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind., -- Maj. Erik Thorell, a KC-135 pilot, helps to load equipment from Purdue University aboard the aircraft in preparation for a trip to Greenland. The 434th Air Refueling Wing provided transportation for a 13-person research team that included members from Purdue's physics and nuclear engineering departments, Air Force ROTC and the Air Force Academy.
