The parade staff performs during a Tuesday Sunset Parade at the Marine Corps War Memorial in Arlington, Va., Aug. 6. Kenichiro Sasae, ambassador of Japan to the United States, was the parade’s guest of honor. The U.S. considers Japan one of its closest allies and partners, and both share a firm and active political relationship.
