An MV-22B Osprey taxis after landing at Marine Corps Air Station Futenma Aug. 12. The Marine Corps is modernizing its fleet with MV-22 tiltrotor aircraft and removing the remaining CH-46E helicopters from service with one-for-one swaps. The Ospreys can fly twice as fast, carry three times as much and fly four times the distance of the older CH-46E helicopter it is replacing. The Ospreys are with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 262, Marine Aircraft Group 36, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Lance Cpl. Stephen Himes)
