Brig. Gen. Vincent A. Coglianese prepares to present the Defense Message System 2013 Excellence Award to Staff Sgt. Johnathan J. Patrick and Staff Sgt. Samuel V. Azzone. According to the award warrant the Area Control Center Camp Pendleton, G6, exhibited outstanding messaging support to the I Marine Expeditionary Force during pre-deployment training, exercises and deployments to Afghanistan. Coglianese is the commanding general and regional authority for five Marine Corps installations in the southwestern United States.
