The M24 sniper weapon system fires only five 7.62 mm rounds, as shown, at a time and was used by the special reaction team during marksman-observer training Oct. 10 at Range 22 in the Central Training Area. The training was designed to maintain the qualification of the marksman-observers and to test their abilities to shoot accurately under stress.
