CARSON, CA— Tyler Newsome, a punter and kicker for the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl East team, poses with Marines at the conclusion of the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl at The StubHub Center in Carson, Calif., Jan. 5. Newsome, a native of Carrollton, GA, is committed to the University of Notre Dame. The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl is unique because the players are among the most talented players in the nation and are high-academic performers and leaders in their communities. The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl works to build effective leaders and quality citizens by instilling Marine Corps values. The Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl brings selected players together with U.S. Marines and football coaches to develop skills not only important to football, but throughout life, such as leadership, self-confidence and teamwork.
