CAMP FOSTER- Ambassador Caroline B. Kennedy, left, talks with Marines after her opening remarks Feb. 13 at the Camp Foster Community Center. This was Kennedy’s first visit to Okinawa since being appointed as the U.S. ambassador to Japan in November 2013. Kennedy is the daughter of John F. Kennedy, the 35th president of the U.S., and she is the first female to be appointed as U.S. ambassador to Japan.
