John P. Flynn, left-center, the commanding officer of the Redeployment and Retrograde in support of Reset and Reconstitution Operations Group, and 1st Sgt. David M. White, the R4OG sergeant major, aboard Camp Leatherneck, Helmand province, Afghanistan, Feb. 18, 2014. The R4OG receives equipment and supplies from several operational elements assigned to the Ground, Logistics and Aviation Combat Elements within Regional Command (Southwest). Their mission is to receive, sort, identify, account for, clean, prepare for redeployment, and ship materials and gear from within RC(SW) back to global destinations that are determined by U.S. Marine Forces Central Command.
