Marines with Battery A fire a round from an M777A2 lightweight 155 mm howitzer January 22 during Artillery Relocation Training Program 13-4. During ARTP, Marines with Batteries A and L fired 1900 rounds and expended over 12,800 gallons of fuel transporting personnel and equipment throughout the North Fuji Maneuver Area’s 12,000 acres. Battery A is with 1st Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, stationed at Marine Corps Base Hawaii, and Battery L is with 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, stationed in Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, Calif. Both batteries are currently assigned to 3rd Battalion, 12th Marines, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force, under the unit deployment program. (U. S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
