.S. Marine Cpl. Brock D. Fortin, left, poses for a photograph with U.S. Air Force Colonel Stephen C. Williams, center, and USAF Chief Master Sgt. Gary Sharp April 23 after earning the “Seikan War” Award for his outstanding performance and dedication throughout the Seikan War Exercise. Fortin conducted external coordination at the wing level with USAF units assigned to 35th Operations Group, 35th Fighter Wing, Misawa Air Base, Japan, alongside representatives with the Japan Air Self-Defense Force, and was instrumental in mission planning with large force exercise commanders and overall execution of the proposed plan. Fortin is a liaison officer with Marine Air Control Squadron 4, Marine Air Control Group 18, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Williams is the commanding officer of the 35th Fighter Wing, and Sharp is the command chief master sergeant for the wing.
