Cpl. Jose Escribano puts a Kevlar helmet onto a Japanese boy during Friendship Day at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, Japan, May 5, 2014. Escribano is a motor transportation operator with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, and was just one of the many Marines that helped host more than 50,000 visitors. Friendship Day is an event that allows Japanese citizens a chance to see military vehicles and aircraft, meet American service members and get a taste of American culture.
