Sgt. Eric Chartier, left, and Sgt. Maj. Robert Tellez play “corn hole” during the 3rd Maintenance Battalion’s 3rd annual Summer Luau June 13 at the Hai Sai Center on Camp Kinser. The battalion is stationed at various installations across Okinawa, and the luau provided the opportunity for the battalion to come together to build camaraderie, according to Tellez. Chartier is a Somers, Connecticut, native and generator mechanic with 3rd Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Tellez is a San Diego, California, native and sergeant major of the battalion.
