The event signifies the end of Estes’ two-year term as commanding officer for Headquarters and Support Battalion. Pecina, a Lubbock, Texas, native, assumed command of the battalion. The battalion is part of Marine Corps Installations Pacific-Marine Corps Base Camp Butler. Hudson is the commanding general of MCIPAC-MCB Camp Butler.
