Sgt. Bryon Z. Reed sounds ‘Taps’ during an evening concert July 20 at the liberation carnival grounds in Barrigada, Guam. The tune was played on the eve of the 70th anniversary of Guam’s liberation in tribute to the men and women who perished during the occupation. The III Marine Expeditionary Force Band was in Guam July 18-22 to provide musical support and Marine Corps representation for liberation anniversary events. Reed is a Cambridge, Ohio, native and trumpeter with the III MEF Band.
