Lance Cpl. Kyle T. Davis, a Berwick, Pennsylvania, native, measures the depth of a hole during the construction of an obstacle course Aug. 14 on Camp Hansen. Davis familiarized himself with a GPS system, which measures the area of construction with accuracy of up to one millimeter. The construction of the obstacle course helps Marines stay proficient with equipment that is not commonly used, according to Davis. Davis is a combat engineer with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
