Sergeant Cody L. Olson, a main battle tank technician with the 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Logistics Combat Element, Combat Logistics Battalion 24, poses with his father, former Marine Sgt. Olson is deployed with the 24th MEU, conducting theater security cooperation exercises to increase cooperation and interoperability, enhance relationships with existing partners and promote long-term regional stability within the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations. The 24th MEU is embarked on the ships of the Iwo Jima Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
