Second Lt. Michael Hanson, a platoon commander with Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment and native of Yucaipa, California, confirms completion of the live-fire exercise aboard Fort A.P. Hill, Virginia, April 22, 2015. 1st Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment is scheduled for an upcoming deployment to Okinawa, Japan, this August to increase the training level and unit continuity of Marine Corps units stationed in the continental United States.
