U.S. Marine Corps Lance Cpl. David Whitehead, an intelligence specialist with Company C, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Rotational Force – Darwin, performs a radio check May 20 before leaving with a convoy to Mount Bundey Training Area, Northern Territory, Australia. The Marines were preparing the convoy to begin Exercise Predator Walk. This deployment demonstrates the interoperability and combined capability of a Marine Air Ground Task Force with Australian allies. Whitehead is a native of Beaufort, South Carolina.
