Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps Gen. Joseph F. Dunford presents an engraved K-Bar knife plaque to 2nd Lt. David Garcia Palacios May 24 at a training base in Covenas, Colombia. Palacios was the honor graduate of the second Colombian Marine Corps’ Officers Tactical Course. It’s a new course for the Colombian Marine Corps and its curriculum is largely based on The Basic School of the U.S. Marine Corps. Dunford toured the base during a two-day trip, where he met with embassy officials and Colombian naval leadership.
