U.S. Marines with the 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit’s Maritime Raid Force fire at targets from behind a barricade during a deck shoot aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex, on the Indian Ocean, Aug. 4, 2015. These Marines practiced maneuvering as buddy teams to different sources of cover to enhance their marksmanship skills. The 15th MEU is embarked on the Essex Amphibious Ready Group and deployed to maintain regional security in the U.S. 5th Fleet area of operations.
