Al Richmond, one of the last “Groundpounders,” or and individual who has ran the Marine Corps Marathon every year since its beginning, spoke at the press conference for the 40th Marine Corps Marathon that was held at the National Press Club in Washington, Oct. 20. Richmond spoke about watching the marathon grow to the event it is today.
