Amphibious dock landing ship USS Germantown (LSD 42) departs Naval Facility White Beach at Okinawa, Japan after embarking Marines from 3rd Marine Division, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and 3rd Marine Logistics Group in preparation for exercise Blue Chromite, Oct. 27, 2015. Blue Chromite is an amphibious training exercise conducted with the 4th Marine Regiment, Marine Air Group 36, Combat Logistics Regiment 4, and other elements of III Marine Expeditionary Force. Germantown is on patrol in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operation in support of security and stability in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.
