Master Gunnery Sgt. Eli Ginez hands the first slice of cake to Lance Cpl. Cory Booher during the Marine Corps birthday cake cutting Nov. 10 aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. “The passing of the cake from the oldest to the youngest Marine symbolizes the passing of history and traditions to the next generation,” read the narrator as the cake was shared by the two Marines. Ginez, senior enlisted advisor with Installations Personnel Administration Center, and Booher, a postal finance clerk, are both Marines with Headquarters and Support Battalion, Marine Corps Installations Pacific, Marine Corps Base Camp Smedley D. Butler.
