TANDUO BEACH, Malaysia (Nov. 10, 2015) A Malaysian soldier looks through the sights of an M224A1 60 mm mortar system during Malaysia-United States Amphibious Exercise 2015. During MALUS AMPHEX 15, Marines with Kilo Company, Battalion Landing Team 3rd Battalion, 1st Marine Regiment, 15th Marine Expeditionary Unit, and Malaysian soldiers exchanged infantry weapon capabilities and tactics. The purpose of the exercise was to strengthen military cooperation in the planning and execution of amphibious operations between Malaysian armed forces and U.S. Marines. The 15th MEU is currently deployed in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to promote regional stability and security in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Sgt.
