A reconnaissance Marine with Maritime Raid Force, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, works to ensure the upper decks of the USNS Rappahannock remain clear during a visit, board, search and seizure training exercise Feb. 17, 2016. The VBSS was conducted as part of the MEU's amphibious integration training with the Navy ships of the Bonhomme Richard Amphibious Ready Group. The Marines and sailors of the 31st MEU are currently on their spring deployment to the Asia-Pacific region.
