General John M. Paxton, Jr., Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, posses with Marines with 4th Recruit Training Battalion, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, South Carolina, Feb. 25, 2016. Paxton conducted a town hall during his visit to Parris Island this week. The purpose of the town hall was to talk to Marines at the depot and receive feedback on critical issues effecting them. Paxton also served as the guest of honor for the graduation ceremony Feb. 26, in which new Marines from Companies G and P concluded their basic training and joined the Corps’ ranks to carry on its more than 240-year legacy.
