Sergeant Michael J. Redd, Marine Corps Martial Arts Program instructor, Instructional Training Company, Recruit Training Regiment, teaches a MCMAP class about bayonet techniques at Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego, April 6. The recruits learned different offensive and defensive techniques that included strikes and blocks that Marines use when faced with enemies in combat situations. Annually, more than 17,000 males recruited from the Western Recruiting Region are trained at MCRD San Diego. Bravo Company is scheduled to graduate June 17.
